Cycle Life

Same sun; Different Day.

I recall reading a transcription of one of Osho's talks where he said "boredom is related to stupidity." Have you ever wondered about, or considered how humans seem to do the same few things every year, and at around the same time? It's like a looped living. It's this season, or it's that time of year, etc.

"Well, it's that time of year again."

As a kid, of course I looked way forward to Christmas and my birthday. As an adult, I looked forward to Thanksgiving (no one expecting gifts, no barrage of commericals for shopping...well kinda, but those are for Christmas), and I damn sure looked forward to footbal season every year (basketball season seemed to always be going on). I knew that at certain points in the year, it'd be in effect! Back to school time, I hated it of course. Sometimes I had an odd excitement for it though. Perhaps it was because it was new, in a sense. Even though it was the same thing, the same event — each shcool year had a novelty to it. Maybe the new teachers, the new paint on the walls and varnish on the floor. It was the same, but it was new.

The times of year, and periods of life even had a certain smell to them. It was more so a feeling, but stronger than a vibe. I can't explain it.

Once though, I had a vision. It was like I was in this force of motion going around and around, and hitting a certain point with an abrupt stop of sorts, but then propelled around again. If you know the motion of the earth around the sun, you know that the orbit is elliptical, and the closer to the sun the earth gets, the motion is faster and more of a whip around. This was that movement type.

I came to a realization. We live in a cyclical life. When I say 'we', I mean the people who are relegated to the rat race. Whether or not you subscribe to the competetive paradigm of getting yours as your main concern, if you're not a millionaire or billionaire — you're in the rat race. Ok, maybe you don't participate. You can't tell me that your life is one of great mobility and resource. If it is, then awesome — you're an anomaly in that regard. Even if you get yours in a modest sense, and are able to walk the line of still being grounded, and not feeling a need to grind with team no-sleep, this still applies.

Not to go off at a tangent, but what I came to realize in that vision was just a life energy in a loop. It could get out, but it wasn't trying. The motion was too fast for it to put any attention to breaking this cycle. I mentioned the millionaires and billionaires, because it doesn't seem like they live that way. I know a few and have been around enough rich and wealthy people to be able to make observation or two of some pattern behavior. Pattern seems ironic to use for this point, I'll admit. But they don't seem to get caught up in what "time of year" it is, or what "season it is". It seems as if they live outside of the cyclical set up of doing the same 5 or 6 things every single year at the same time every single year.

It isn't something that I observed exclusively in rich or wealthy people — the abstaining from any patterned or seasonal lifestyle. It's a thing that I see also in highly intelligent or intellectual people who are, as they say 'woke', whether they are rich, poor or middle class. It seems they've broken the cycle. They don't get hyper-concerned with what time of year it is, or what season it is. They live like like a leaf in the wind to a large degree. Not haphazardly or irresponsibly with no focus or direction, but rather with a sense of purpose but not governed by what the societal activity map sets forth.

It doesn't make any sense to me to be doing the same 5 or 6 things every year at set points. That has to have a numbing effect on the mind, and certainly the spirit. But whet of those who really enjoy the seasons, and who anticipate their arrival with a lot of zeal? I don't know. I don't judge or think I ca nsay what's right for them. My realizations are often just for me, and not to evangelize to everyone I meet.

Perhaps it's something that falls in line with my other affinities and against my other dislikes. After all, liking something is a frequency, and disliking something is a dissonance of frequencies. I've never liked schedules that lasted for too long. To know what's coming next is only something I like in business, and even then it's somewhat a killjoy. So perhaps it is me, and for me. Nonetheless, I shared the thought. If there's something you can gain from it, then awesome. If it's just a cool read, awesome there too.

Bless
