This is my second studio album. First released in December of 2022, it featured songs created from 2011-2013. In August of 2025, I re-released it but included a newly made song (newly=January of 2025) called “Along 86”, composed in Albany, NY. That song was inspired by a lot of time spent in the Adirondack Mountains from the Lake George area and Warrensville, Schroon Lake area, as well as deep in the mountains along 73 into Underwood, the Keen Valley, Saranac Lake, Lake Placid etc., and out the other side along route 86–hence, the name. You can read more about that song, and its making, here
The rest of the songs were made in Youngstown, Ohio (my birthplace and hometown) in 2011-2013, mostly while living on North Heights Ave around Wick Park—a place I’d spent much time from childhood to adulthood. This one is more guitar heavy than was Walking On Sound, which was driven more by synths and keyboard presets.
The songs on this album gave rise to the methods and sonic-direction that would become what Walking On Sound was made with, but I go into that story on the post for that album (see my profile for that).
As mentioned in another post, the guitar on the album cover is not the one used in any of the songs. Except for “Along 86”, all were made with the first Ibanez that I owned from 2013-2015 (I gave it to a little kid who lived next door to me in The Bronx when I went out to California for a little while. I often wonder who has that guitar now.) The first release’s cover image did have the Ibanez (Sweet Blue) that is heard in the songs, but also in the photo was a spliff of weed in an ash-tray I’d made from a coconut shell. I switched the cover in the re-release due to becoming a born-again (anothen) Christian, and not feeling comfortable with that cover.
I hope you enjoy.
