A lovely group of purple flowers

I'm not sure of the name of these flowers. They nonetheless caught my eye and I didn't need to know their name or what they're called, what genus or species they are — none of that was required to be known in order for me to appreciate and enjoy their splendor.

She's stunning, she's wearing red, and she's wet. Few flowers embody the feminine as does the rose — the red rose at that. I caught this lovely beauty in extreme magnificence in Bridgeport, Connecticut.

While visiting and admiring a garden in Youngstown, Ohio (the place of my birth and most of my upbringing), this budding sunflower was simply begging to have its photo taken. I most certainly did oblige.

More Than Pretty

The lessons that flowers teach us

While walking along Bleecker Street between LaGuardia and Wooster in mid 2013, I took intense notice to these beautiful Magnolia leaves that were along the ground. As I looked up to see what tree or bush from whence they came, I was intuitively given a lesson that regardless of how outwardly beautiful we may be, we have to be much more than that since we all eventually fall from our physical grace. All along the way, our visual and apparent beauty has to be but an adornment to our true spiritual and natural loveliness.

While walking along the western-most edges of the Fargo-Moorhead area in North Dakota and Minnesota, respectively — I found mysely in a field that seemed to be populated by nothing but sunflowers. Grounded Beauty

Nature/Plant-life/Flowers

Down on Bleecker street in SoHo, I was walking along and caught the sight of these lovely pink Magnolia flower petals that adorn the sidewalks and streets of NYC every spring and summer. The way they decorate the ground when they've fallen puts me in the mind of knowing that even when blessed with beauty (whether phyiscal or abstract) you have to remain grounded and operate with at least some humility to be able to be positively guided by the Universe.

I mainly have them as prints on canvas, but I'm using other surfaces such as large photo paper in artistic and aesthetic frames, and even some custom/novel mediums.
